When analysis meets voice
My voice in cinema lives at the intersection of observation and feeling — rooted in analysis, but always reaching for something more human. I’m drawn to the tension between what a film is doing and what it’s saying, and I write to make that connection clear. Whether through cultural context, emotional resonance, or visual storytelling, I use language to pull meaning from the frame and shape it into something intentional, honest, and lasting.
Writing my Voice out
The reviews from my Letterboxd in this collection are where that voice has felt the most alive. Each one represents a moment where the film and my response to it met with clarity — where the ideas were sharp, the writing intuitive, and the perspective distinctly my own. Some pieces break down structure or rhythm, others focus on tone or texture, but all of them share a throughline: a desire to meet the work on its own terms while bringing something original to the conversation.
